Not what you would
expect from the Mark Slade from early television I think it was written as a
coming of age for boys. However, think girls can relate to. Childhood friends
that seem as close as siblings grow apart because of different views of what is
right and wrong. It is funny in parts and quite scary in others. I think it is
a good first novel for any writer. I would not call it a morality lesson but it
will make you look back and remember how you treated or were treated by
childhood friends.
